But, it wasn’t always like this.
Alison started as a teacher. First she taught English abroad, in universities, language institutes and the British Council. She had a successful career teaching adults and business professionals English around the world, but in 1997 she returned with her husband and two young children to the UK, without a job.
However, before long she began an MA course at Birmingham University alongside part-time teaching and soon her career took off again. She began to gain a reputation in Oxford for teaching Business English and in 1997, she founded her first business, teaching Executive English to international professionals.
Today, she has left English teaching far behind. In its place, she has built expertise in business coaching.
Now, as Founder and CEO of Oxford Professional Consulting, she leads a selected network of specialist coaches and consultants in providing Business Coaching and Leadership Communication advice to organisations big and small, in UK and around the world. She is an Executive Business Coach for Executives, a Business Coach for Women Entrepreneurs who want to build a 6-7 figure business, Specialist in Leadership Communication, published Author, Public Speaker, and Enhanced Practitioner in Conversational Intelligence (C-IQ®).

Experience
I have been coaching individuals in business and the professions since 2000, across industries and professional roles.
I help senior leaders, from finance directors to business owners, to overcome their fear of public speaking so they enjoy speaking and increase their impact and influence both in their organisations and in their the communities. I help CEOs of small and medium sized businesses improve their leadership and strategic thinking so they grow their business through increased sales and clients. I've helped businesses and schools to adopt, develop and maintain a thriving coaching culture so they improve management skills alongside academic results.
My vision is to helping individuals create change in their own performance so they make a significant positive contribution in their organisation, however big or small it is. My work usually involved as focus on developing some or all of these key areas:
