I have over 25 years’ expertise in making projects succeed, avoiding the cost and frustration of failed and under-delivering projects, and 14 years experience in professionally coaching others to do the same. I am passionate about cutting the cost and waste of projects that are not fit for purpose (typically 25% according to the Institute of Directors research).
As a professionally qualified (RPP) and successful project manager (I led one of only 2 NHS major IT projects ever to have delivered successfully on time and budget, saving the NHS £65M in its first year of operation alone and winning a Queen’s Award) , I'm well-placed to identify your development needs.
I will work with you (or your whole team) to strengthen your project/change management capabilities, so boosting success rates, cutting waste and meeting business needs on time.
Experience
Trained in coaching and mentoring in 1994, to meet line management responsibilities.
Formally coaching project managers since 2002, in industries as diverse as IT and railway electrification.
Coached a range of managers since in 2008,
• Registered Project Professional (Chartered equivalent) and PRINCE2 Practitioner
• Fellow of the Association for Project Management and Member of the Institute of Directors
• Visiting Lecturer in Project Management, The University of Manchester
