About Andy
I’m an ADHD coach working with adults who feel capable of more, but find that ADHD keeps getting in the way of actually doing what they intend to do.
My clients often come to coaching struggling with things like procrastination, overwhelm, inconsistent motivation, difficulty prioritising, unfinished projects, poor routines or simply having too much going on in their head at once.
Coaching gives us space to understand what is actually happening, rather than assuming you just need to try harder or become more disciplined. From there, we work on practical ways of making things easier to start, organise and follow through on — in a way that works with your brain rather than against it.
I work collaboratively and without judgement. You don’t need to arrive knowing exactly what you want to work on; figuring that out can be part of the process.
Experience
I trained in ADHD coaching with Barrett Coaching & Training, completing both their ADHD Coaching and Understanding Coaching Approaches programmes.
My training included ADHD-specific coaching skills, practical coaching experience and supervised practice. I continue to undertake regular professional development and coaching supervision.
I work with adults with ADHD across a wide range of situations, including difficulties with work, organisation, motivation, routines, relationships, confidence and managing competing demands.
I also have lived experience of ADHD, which gives me a personal understanding of many of the challenges clients bring to coaching, while recognising that everyone experiences ADHD differently.
Coaching style
My coaching style is relaxed, collaborative and practical. I’m not interested in giving you a rigid system and expecting you to somehow make yourself stick to it.
We’ll usually start with whatever feels most important or difficult right now, explore what is getting in the way, and work towards something useful and realistic that you can take away from the session.
I’ll ask questions, challenge assumptions when it’s helpful, and help you turn vague intentions into clearer next steps. At the same time, coaching isn’t about me telling you what to do — the aim is to find approaches that genuinely fit you and your life.
Sessions are conversational and there’s room to think things through. You don’t need to prepare a perfect agenda or have everything figured out beforehand.
