About Helen
With a combination of life coaching and debriefing, I offer support to people who have returned from living overseas and are working out who they have become and how to move forwards. I work with clients to help them understand where they are now - their current roles and responsibilities – and where they would like to go – and then take steps towards that place. I help them grapple with their values, their dreams, and their unique talents and skills which make them who they are, in a way that gives them confidence to move on to the next stage in their life, whatever that may be.
I spent many years in a remote corner of Central Asia with my family. I have experience of being a full-time mum, home-school tutor, domestic Goddess (!), mentor of short-term workers, running parenting courses, surviving revolutions, team conflicts, and re-entry to the UK. All of these things helped shape my desire to listen to people and to help them to capitalise on their learning from the challenges they have faced.
WattsYourPathway is all about finding positive pathways through the transition of repatriation.
Experience
We returned to the UK in 2010, and I retrained as a debriefer (through People In Aid) and life coach (with The Coaching Academy). I set up WattsYourPathway in November 2012 and have steadily been finding more work since. I have coached people through changes to their overseas placements; through their repatriation time; through the transition of moving from one job to another; and I have done a lot of debriefing, mainly for Tearfund and BMS World Mission.
Having been through re-entry ourselves, once as a couple and once with young children, I know how disorienting it can be and how much we valued the support of others who understood us and our situation during our adjustments.
Coaching style
I am a life coach who specialises in transitions, and in particular, international relocation.
WattsYourPathway provides understanding and accompaniment to repatriates during your re-entry transition, enabling growth and confidence in yourself and what you have to offer
