About Laura
I help women who have it 'all together' on the outside but feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unfulfilled on the inside and are ready for real change. I’m Laura Haywood, an ICF PCC certified Life Coach and former therapist. Based in Nottinghamshire, I work with clients locally, and online throughout the UK & the US.
I bring therapeutic insight together with the forward-focused energy of coaching so you can have the space to breathe & get clear. Clarity leads to choice so you can take the steps forward that are right for you. You can create the lasting change you are seeking and move forward with intention.
Clients come to me when they feel stuck, are going through midlife challenges or life transitions, stressed & overwhelmed, struggling with patterns of people pleasing, wanting to rebuild confidence, or simply tired of feeling anxious & overthinking themselves into paralysis. Together, we untangle limiting beliefs, strengthen self-trust and build practical momentum.
Coaching with me is about real human connection & support, empathy, trust, insight & feedback. I’ll support you deeply, and I’ll also be honest when needed. Growth requires both.
If you're ready for something more, let’s talk. Book a free call now to explore what's best for you. Sessions are available online, making coaching accessible throughout the UK & the US.

Experience
I am an ICF PCC certified life coach and former therapist, with nearly a decade of professional coaching experience.
I trained and worked as a coach, mentor, facilitator, and coach trainer in the United States, where I lived for 10 years. During that time I built extensive experience working with women navigating life transitions, confidence challenges, overthinking, people pleasing, midlife uncertainty and personal growth.
In late 2025, I returned to the UK, and now work with clients locally, in Nottinghamshire, and online throughout the UK and US.
My background of ten years as a therapist gives me a depth of understanding of human behaviour and emotional patterns that I bring into every coaching relationship, alongside the forward-focused, practical energy of coaching. I am also trained in Emotional Intelligence and Emotional Mindset Mastery.
I hold the ICF PCC credential, which requires a minimum of 500 coaching hours and rigorous assessment. I am passionate about coaching as a profession and am committed to professional standards, ethics and integrity.
Coaching style
Working with me tends to feel different from what people expect. It's not a checklist and it's not a pep talk. It's a conversation, always with compassion and sometimes challenging, that starts wherever you actually are, not where you think you should be.
We work at your pace. Some clients come in ready to move fast and others need space to untangle things first. You won't be rushed, but you also won't be allowed to stay stuck as that's the coaching part.
Sessions are exploratory but purposeful. I'll ask questions that cut through the noise, and I'll notice things you might have stopped noticing about yourself. My training in emotional intelligence and therapy means I work with the whole picture. Not just the goals on the surface, but the patterns, the beliefs, and the stories underneath them. That's usually where the real work is.
What you can expect is warmth, honesty, groundedness and no jargon. A space where it's safe to be honest with yourself. You may laugh, cry and feel the in-between.
People often tell me the sessions feel like finally being able to say the quiet part out loud. That's the kind of space I try to create.
